Select and read one research-based, peer-reviewed article from the past four years on a STEM subject published in a journal. Compare the distinct positions presented by the author in five to seven pages.
Use the following as section headings as you discuss these components:
-rationale for the research (stating the problem being addressed);
-the researcher's scientific approach or methodology;
-description of the data and how it was obtained;
-supporting evidence for the claims made;
-any conclusions drawn by the researcher;
-and future implications identified through the research.
Finally, discuss how the scientific principles discussed above and practiced in the article resemble the ways in which you currently engage your students in practicing similar principles in the classroom.
