A manufacturer makes two types of desks, the conventional model and the micro-support model. The conventional model requires $120 to produce and 40 cubic feet of storage pace. The micro-support model costs $80 to produce and requires 40 cubic feet of storage space. The micro-support model yields $100 per unit profit, while the conventional model yields a $75 per unit profit. Because of budget constraints we cannot exceed $160,000 in costs and 60,000 cubic feet of storage space.

a. Use graphical analysis to determine the optimal number of each type of desk if our goal is to maximize profit.

b. Confirm you solution by implementing your model in EXCEL and solve it using Solver.

c. Write out the constraints in equality (canonical) form and solve for the values of the variables. Provide an interpretation of the solution for each corner point. I.e., what resources are limited, what the profit would be and whether or not the corner point is optimal.
