Question: Write a critical evaluation of your own practise with reference to the module content and current literature. This should be based on self evaluation, and might ask such question as: what purpose does assessment have in securing learning? How might my understanding of teaching learning and assessment impact on pupil learning?
You should include a section on how practise might be improved, making direct reference to the literature. (3000 words)
Assessment criteria:
- demonstration of a critical understanding of the nature of pedagogy and its role in student learning
- illustration of the impact of different pedagogic approaches to learning
- analysis of the relationship between assessment and learning
- critical refection on own approaches to the learning process and the use of a range of teaching and assessment strategies
- evaluation of the effectiveness of these strategies in enhancing own teaching practice
