1. Piro, intending to scare Annie, sets Annies house on fire, knowing that Annie and her brother are taking a nap inside. The blaze spreads rapidly. Firemen arrive. Fireman Jim is killed while trying to rescue Annie. Annie dies in the fire, but her brother survives. The other firemen finally put the fire out and head back toward the station. Fireman Bill falls off the truck on the way back and is hit and killed by a car.
