The idea of the Source Summary is to efficiently summarize and attribute information from a source. Use the library databases to get back an article from the Course Theme Reading List on the theme you selected last week. If you are bearing in mind a new topic, confirm your option with your professor. Once you get the article, print it or save a local copy of the full text article to your hard drive so that you can refer to the contents of the article offline. Read the source cautiously, noting the thesis, topic sentences, supporting details, headings, and the conclusion. To become more skilled at paraphrasing and summary, you will do writing summaries of dissimilar lengths on the same assigned source.
