Globalization course

The rules of work are changing significantly. Some will able to adapt to the changes and succeed others will not. Friedman’s powerful article speaks to the fact that “every decent job demands more skills and…lifelong learning.” Which in effect means being prepared for job opportunities and advancement is more individual's responsibility and not the company i.e. the employer. Also as stated in the article, "the notion of asking young people to “stop asking WHAT you want to be vs. HOW you want to improve an agile learning mindset" and thus improves one’s future options. How do you react this? Do you agree/disagree with all or parts of the theme of the article? How does this impact you and your respective profession and/or line of work? Based on your observations will others i.e. co-workers, friends embrace the need to be lifelong learners? Why/Why Not?
