Please help me with this assignment quick. This is what I have done so far.
If you could travel back in time, where/when would you go and why?
This question can go into 2 directions, the direction where you interact with the past and change it or where you merely observe without any influence.
If I could go back to the past I certainly wouldn't change it so I would merely observe and leave again.
Since I would only observe without altering anything I could go everywhere I wanted in theory.
So I would either go back to the beginning of time and see the universe being born or I would go to primordial earth where there is enough oxygen to breath(1.25 billion years ago roughly) and the night sky is open to the naked eye to view and the first organisms come into existence. If the machine allows I would go back in time of to the point of the first (merely) visible organisms and set the machine in such a way that it would take a day or two at most to return to my own and original time, seeing the development of earth, humanity, civilization and the modern world, within 2 days I would gain a good idea of how earth developed and changed with life, even at points where modern science still isn't sure about how things went.
But if I really had to chose just a single point I would go back to the birth of our universe, it would likely kill me, but hey how many get that chance to see such a thing?
