Taking the annotations you have so far (at least 50), draft a composition that incorporates all of your annotations. This means that you'll take your paraphrased material, craft a logical narrative, and include citations each time you insert a paraphrase into your document. Your objective is to demonstrate your mastery of the literature related to the topics you've identified as key to your proposed research. You must demonstrate your mastery in such a way that any reader can follow your thinking.
Remember, a literature review is not an opinion piece, fiction, a book report or a bulleted list in sheep's clothing. It's a narrative that brings the reader on a journey with you, and where statements of fact are substantiated with credible literature.
Congratulate yourself on the work you're doing here. You are writing your literature review, which is Chapter Two of your dissertation. When you've completed the literature review, you will have a minimum of 20 pages and approximately 100 sources included - demonstrating your mastery of the topics and sub-topics related to your proposed research.
Use the following checklist for your paper:
Do you have a cover page?
Do you have an abstract?
Do you have keywords (3-5)?
Are you using Times New Roman and 12-point font?
Are you using APA formatting?
Do you have a header (left-justified) and a page number (right-justified) on each page?
Do you have an introduction telling the reader what the document is about and how it is organized?
Is every citation in the document referenced and in the reference list?
Is every reference in the reference list reflected in at least 1 citation on the body of the document?
Have you run a spell check?
Do you have a conclusion?
