Problem: Summary of the video: of EFT master class is The first takeaway I had from the EFT Masterclass was avoiding focus on who the problem is in the relationship. This is something I had learned from prior classes, so it was nice to learn about it again. My role as a therapists, especially once seeing couples and families, is not to take sides. The Masterclass demonstrated how to remain neutral, yet open to acknowledging and discussing all sides in a way that externalizes the problem and leaves less focus on the individual issue. The second takeaway I got was from watching both therapists utilize different techniques, but still navigate the sessions with the same end goal. As someone who has not quite figured out my own theoretical orientation, it is helpful to see different styles and approaches and how you can incorporate them into sessions with the same goals in mind. * Chapters 6 and 7 of the text Counseling Addicted Families (Juhnke) * López, G., Orchowski, L.
