Write the summary and discussions on one of the major issues in that chapter.
The Summary should be no more than 5 Lines.
Homework Requirements
1. There is a homework assignment for each chapter scheduled to be discussed in class. Each homework assignment must contain (1) a summary of the chapter, (2) discussions on one of the major issues in the chapter, and (3) a statement of your personal stance on this issue. Each homework assignment is to be no less than 2 pages double-spaced, and no more than 3 pages double-spaced.
2. All direct quotes from the textbook or any other sources must be placed in quotation marks with reference to the sources. You may follow either APA or MLA style to document references, but be consistent. Do not mix styles.
3. Each homework assignment must be word-processed and submitted as a printout. No e-mail submission will be accepted without the permission from this instructor.
4. Each homework assignment must be submitted in class on the designed date (see the "Course Calendar" for the due dates). No late submission will be accepted except for an emergency reason, in which case a proper document must be attached to the submission, or E-mail(s) sent explaining the situation.
5. All homework submissions will be kept in the instructor's files, and will not be returned to students. The instructor will contact the student if there are problems with his/her homework submission.
