Sufficient evidence to conclude variance impact strength

Two suppliers manufacture a plastic gear used in a laser printer. The impact strength of these gears is measured in foot-pounds is an important characteristic. A random sample of 10 gears from supplier 1 results in s1 = 14, while another random sample of 16 gears from supplier 2 results in s2 = 28 grams per liter. Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that variance of the impact strength is different for the two suppliers?

(a) Test the hypothesis H0: s21 = s22 versus H1: s21 s22.

Calculate f0 = Round your answer to three decimal places (e.g. 98.765).

(b) Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that variance the impact strength is different for the two suppliers?
