Problem:
This study aims to investigate the complex relationship between illicit drug use and school dropout rates among Liberian youth by exploring the lived experiences of individuals who have engaged in drug use during their non-enrolled high school years. By examining socio-cultural, personal, and community factors influencing these behaviors, the research will provide insights into the consequences of drug use on mental health, social relationships, and future opportunities. This comprehensive understanding will facilitate the development of culturally relevant strategies to reduce drug use and improve educational retention among the younger population in Liberia.
