Struggling Against Oppression Topic:
Write a thoughtful essay discussing how to respond against oppression imposed by a community. Consider the difficulties and sufferings encountered. How should the oppressed respond? What would you do if you were suffering due to oppression imposed by a community? Use at least two quotes from The Trials of Socrates (only pages 3-83, Reeve translation) and at least two quotes from Du Bois, (The Souls of Black Folk) to develop your essay. Each quote will be between 15 and 40 words long. What lessons did you learn about the individual and/or the community in this situation. In the essay please discuss yourself in relation to the topic. A personal experience, observation and/or application must be included. Essay must be at least 3 full pages long and please use MLA style citations and included a MLA style work cited list at the end
