Acts of Betrayal:
Use “Lord of Flies” chapter 3, 8, and 9. (Honors English 10)
Analyze the nature of the betrayal (strength analysis by connecting to a biblical allusion!!!) and show how it contributes to the meaning of the work as a whole.
1. Need a thesis (include author, title of work, focus of evidence and Theme!!) in the end of the first paragraph and theme needs to be a message not a word.
2. One introduction, three body paragraphs, one conclusion
3. For paragraph (two quotes from lord of flies for each paragraph) :
Paragraph should include topic sentence, the sentence leading to the quote and the quote. Then commentary (what is the quote saying, why it is significant, how is it related to the theme) . Then a sentence to introduce another quote. In the end, lead back to the theme.
