Social justice and healthcare system enhancement

Problem:

Please help me to respond to this post. Healthcare must be a right, but not a privilege, since all people must also have access to quality medical care irrespective of income, social status, and background. Health care enhances the overall health outcomes of people, minimizes premature mortality, and fosters equality among people. According to recent studies, universal coverage of healthcare is directly linked to human rights and the well-being of the patients, as it guarantees individuals access to the necessary medical services without facing any problems with finances (Kwame & Petrucka, 2022). The approach of considering care as a privilege by healthcare systems tends to generate disparities in which at-risk populations find it hard to access treatment. This in turn causes a lot of them to wait to get better, leading to a much better health condition and a rise in their healthcare expenses in the long run. The role of nurses in lobbying for equitable healthcare policies cannot be underrated, as they are the ones who can see the difficulties patients go through. Political decisions affect care delivery, workforce, patient safety, and healthcare access (Mainey et al., 2025). Hence, medical workers must have a voice in the political debates and changes. Studies have revealed that social justice and healthcare system enhancement can only be achieved through nursing activism and advocacy. Need Assignment Help?
