In the solution worked out on this site, v1 is calculated, then in the last step, the current is found by dividing v1 by 7 omhs. since v1 is not the voltage across the 7ohm resistor but the voltage across the 9 ohm equivalent resistor shouldn't the current be found by dividing v1 by 9 omhs?
