Question: Should professional and/or collegiate teams be mandated to change their respective logos and/or mascots if some groups find them to be offensive or problematic? For example, some students at Western feel that our current mascot is not inclusive; should we change our Viking mascot? Should the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame change their mascot if a few Irish Americans have an issue with it? Is there a certain line that has to be crossed before a mascot should be retired?
