Should sox-like other provisions be required

Discussion Post

The Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act was enacted in 2002 for companies in the private sector as a result of the Enron and other corporate scandals. However, it does not apply to government. Should SOX-like other provisions be required for the federal government? Has there been any move in this direction? Why or why not?

The response must include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, double-space, Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
