Two of the unique benefits of our text are the essays and biographies called "Forming Art" at the end of most chapters. The authors have attempted to incorporate "real" people and things into their presentation and, for the most part, have succeeded. These stories and accounts provide us with evidence of the incredibly rich and diverse world of art.
Assignment
In the spirit of "Art Appreciation," Select an essay, biography, an essay and biography, or a grouping of both, and write a three page, double-spaced paper that expands the information provided by the text.
For example, if you choose the biography on the famous architect, Zaha Hadid, you would then, using the internet, research her further and write a more detailed and expansive report on Zaha Hadid.
You may decide to elaborate on Zaha, the woman, or focus primarily on her architecture.
You write about someone/something that interests you.
