Select an article that is related to the course material and was published in one of the recommended readings (the list of Recommended Readings can be found under Text and Resources at the top of the Syllabus), within the last year. Second, students are expected to submit a paper that is 3-6 pages in length (double-spaced, Times New Roman 12, Margins), summarizing their chosen article and how it is related to the class material (Chapters 1 through 13). Better grades will be given to students who are able to relate their chosen article to more class material, provided that relations are logical.

Students should briefly summarize the article, and spend the majority of their papers discussing how their chosen article relates to the class material.
