Routing and switching assignment - create a 6 router

Routing and Switching Assignment -

Both tasks will be configured in GNS3 using Cisco 3745 series routers. In GNS3, you will be required to add a VWIC card to slot0 to setup your Serial connections. Your deliverable will be your final configurations for all 6 routers and an image of the network design (screenshot of the GNS3 routers).

Task 1 - Configure the network per the following specifications [(router) (last octet)]

  • Classroom: 192.168.1.0/24 [R1 .1], [R2 .2], [R3 .3]
  • Link 1: 14.14.14.0/30 [R1 .1], [R4 .2]
  • Link 2: 25.25.25.0/30 [R2 .1], [R5 .2]
  • Link 3: 36.36.36.0/30 [R3 .1], [R6 .2]

Task 2 - Create a 6 router network where 3 routers are connected to OSPF AREA 0 (Classroom) via Ethernet switch. Link a new router, via Serial interface, to each one of the routers in AREA 0 [R1 - R4, R2 - R5, R3 - R6 ]. Each Serial link (Link 1, 2, 3) will be connected to separate areas (AREA 11,22, 33) attached to AREA 0; assign IP addresses accordingly. Make AREA 11 a stub area. Verify all subnets from Classroom, Link1, Link2 and Link3 are visible from every router in the network.

Label each router with a hostname (R1 - R6). Save your configuration often.
