For this course you will have an essay to submit to Canvas at the end of the course. Take notes throughout the course to compose your answer at the end of the course. You are to select one topic: economic development; international relations; governmental change; the role of women in colonial and U.S. history during the time period covered in the course; the role of Native/Indigenous Americans in colonial and U.S. history during the time period covered in the course; or the role of African Americans in colonial and U.S. history during the time period covered in the course.
Your answer should include: a discussion of change over time-1500s to 1865
A discussion of regional differences [north, south, west], if any
A discussion of internal and external/foreign influences on the topic you have chosen.
