Review the four different paradigms discussed in Hanson. Give a brief summary of each. Use this framework to examine several of the other authors we have read including Tanner, Niskanen, McKernan and Radcliffe, Freeman, and Yinger. How would you place each of these in one of Hanson's paradigms? What evidence are you using to do so. Do they easily fit into Hanson's categories? Why or why not? Do you think Hanson's categories are useful? In what ways "yes" and in what ways "no"?
