For this homework assignment, I would like you to find TWO original scientific articles published that show a change in the interpretation of the phylogeny for your favorite non-dog taxonomic group. Obviously, one of the papers can be an older study but the newest one must be recent --within the last 5 years. Please share the citation (Danielson-Francois et al. 2014) as well as the URL.
Please write at least 800 words about why it is your favorite taxon, and how the understanding of its evolution (via the phylogeny) has changed over time and helped our biological understanding of the group deepen. Clear and accurate writing counts so please proofread your submission! Be certain that your final phylogeny is the MOST RECENT (at least within the last 5 years) phylogeny for your group. Your submission should have a phylogeny in it that you discuss. Again, you are not allowed to choose dogs as we have already discussed those phylogenies in depth.
