Assignment:
As a manager in your company's international division, you have been asked to research the possibility of expanding abroad. To start, you want to compare the key macroeconomic indicators between the US and the country you are considering (Republic of Panama).
Create a 14-20 slide PowerPoint presentation. You will make a 5-minute presentation(include a summary slide) to recommend/not recommend the expansion to this country.
Start with a cover page and an agenda. Discuss:
1) GDP$, GDP per capita $, Gross Happiness Indicator, Moody's country risk rating, inflation rate, unemployment rate, in what stage of business cycle is each country now, literacy rate, exchange rate, minimum wage, trade restrictions between each foreign country and U.S., imports $, exports $, and balance of trade $. ALL OF THESE INDICATORS MUST BE ADDRESSED.
2) Based on this information and your analysis, is the country stable enough for a business expansion? Which particular indicators are you basing your answer on?
3) Would you recommend to expand or not to expand to this country? Explain why.
Finish with a conclusion, a summary slide ( You can have 1, 2, 3 or more summary slides for those 5 minutes you will use in your presentation), and a reference page with a minimum of 5 references. One of the references must be the textbook (5 points). The non-textbook references are worth 1 points each
