Research the assessors and the auditors offices

Property Assessment and Taxes

This course is Real Estate, not Marketing

Go back to your county or municipal offices/courthouse or research any available online equivalent offices. Research, the assessor's and the auditor's offices. Find out how properties are assessed for tax purposes and how property taxes are computed on them. Then, using a $100,000 valued house, go through the calculations. In addition, find out how a property owner can challenge the assessment if he or she feels it's wrong.

Write your findings in a short paper. For additional details, refer to the Short Paper/Case Study Rubric document in the Assignment Guidelines and Rubrics section of the course.
