Research Paper - Instructions
The instruction differs depending on whether you selected a company or an individual for Research Paper Part A:
Company:
Steps:
Part 1. Regarding the company you previously researched in Part A, AND with additional relevant research as your bases, complete at least two of the following analyses:
a. SWOT
b. Porter's 5 Forces
c. Resource Based View
d. PESTEL
e. BCG Matrix
Part 2. Report the results of your rigorous analyses in a concise form. Cite relevant sources to back your findings (1.5 - 2 pages).
Part 3. Based on your analyses, interpret and draw conclusions regarding the long-term success and relevance of the company, and give reasons why you hold this view (0.5 - 1 pages).
Part 4. Indicate a few areas in which the company you have chosen can improve. Some useful considerations include aspects of Culture, Strategy, and Organizational Structure. Be specific with respect to what needs to change. (0.5 - 1 pages)
Part 5. Structure your submission with subheadings and paragraphs to make it easy to follow.

Part 1. Regarding the person you previously researched in Part A, AND with additional relevant research (and some reliance on course text) as your bases, answer the following questions:
a. Is this person primarily a leader or a manager? Why do you think so? Provide evidence to back your position
b. If this person is a leader, how could you describe his/her approach to leadership? or
If this person is a manager, how could you describe his/her management style and philosophy?
c. What useful qualities/skills has he or she displayed?
d. How has the person's leadership changed the world? What is the person's key contribution to our understanding of how organizations should be managed or how people should be led?
Part 2. Report your well-reasoned answers in a concise form. Cite relevant sources to back your position(1 - 1.5 pages)
Part 3. Indicate a few areas in which the person you have chosen could have been even better, could have acted differently, or could have improved. (0.5 - 1 page).
Part 4. Based on your answers to the questions above, draw conclusions regarding what the person's legacy is and how long you expect it to remain relevant to our world. Also discuss how you intend to emulate the person in your personal life (1 page)
