The Reading "Price Increases after Disaster", was a very relatable and mind opening to read, because it is a very self-reflecting read in my situation and with the diversity in the different community that I have lived in ranging from the poor and to the rich. In the reading "Price Increases after Disaster" it states, "allowing prices to rise at times of extreme demand discourages overconsumption", which then make the poor suffer because of insufficient funds and not enough necessities being disbursed. Price gouging made a statement saying, "put the budgets of the poor under additional stress" This is relatable because when I was not able to save money and I was just working to pay bills there were no extra funds for anything else.

When a natural disaster hits the poor suffers a great amount and not able to meet up with the price brackets being set for necessities. Both theses statements show that without a doubt price gouging when a natural disaster occurs has a negative impact on the one that need the most help. Before price gouging can be anywhere beneficial it has to have a greater negative impact before it can do any good, and it does more good for the ones in less need.
