Reading analysis and presentation on critical race

Reading Analysis and Presentation -

All students will be assigned one reading by the instructor to present (maximum of 5 slides or a 4-minute video) and facilitate a DB activity. Use instructor DB posts as models. Your presentation should demonstrate a critical understanding of the assigned reading, and will be assessed based on preparation and grasp of the material, discussion questions, proper spelling and grammar, and organization. Each PPT or video should include the following components:

1) Title page (Name, article title, page #s, author);

2) Broad themes (What themes left the strongest impression?);

3) Significance of article and connection to broader course themes;

4) Connection to contemporary issues; and

5) 2 to 3 Discussion Questions. Whether you choose to use PowerPoint or a video presentation depends on your ability and preference; with either format, you will be responsible for uploading your own presentation, and attaching it to your DB questions within your assigned DB forum. Students are encouraged to be creative and consult the instructor before the assigned presentation!
