Assignment: Thesis and Map
For this piece of the Literature Project, you will submit your thesis and map as a single 1 page Word document.
Note that instead of a formal outline, you will focus on constructing a formatted map of your project. This map will be a guide of how your paper will flow.
Project Overview
You will compare and contrast two literary works (from two different writers) from the course that share the same theme. (Examples include, but are not limited to: Race/Ethnicity; Creativity/The Creative Process; Symbolism/Irony; Gender Roles/Marriage). You can either compare two novels, a novel and a short story, two short stories, a short story and a poem, or two poems.
Requirements
Begin with a couple of introductory statements that introduce the topic and main idea to the audience.
Has strong transition sentences that introduce the thesis
Provide strong, succinct thesis statement that foreshadows main points of map
First section - provide highlights of section topic
Second section - provide highlights of section topic
Third section - provide highlights of section topic
Conclusion that reiterates thesis and leaves reader with something to think about.
Use correct spelling and grammar
Paper is properly formatted in APA style (this includes providing a cover page and reference page).
