Prompting hierarchy for all new or difficult task

Problem:

Prompting: By the next monthly evaluation, Technician 1 will implement a least-to-most prompting hierarchy for all new or difficult tasks, as evidenced by starting with the least intrusive prompt (e.g., verbal or gestural) and waiting 3-5 seconds for a learner response before moving to a more intrusive prompt in 90% of observed opportunities (Cooper et al., 2019). Attention: By the next monthly evaluation, Technician 1 will obtain the learner's attention (e.g., by calling the learner's name and establishing eye contact or a quiet body orientation) before delivering an instruction in 90% of observed trials, as measured by review of video recordings. Differential Reinforcement: Within the next month, Technician 1 will increase her use of differential reinforcement by providing specific, enthusiastic praise or access to reinforcers for independent correct responses and withholding reinforcement for prompted responses, and by intermittently reinforcing other appropriate behaviors (e.g., quiet sitting, waiting) during all sessions.
