Site Analysis Project
An essential step in any design project is the completion of the site analysis. A site analysis is an important tool used by landscape architects, architects and planners to increase their knowledge and understanding of a space; what is there, who uses the space and how, and what is working and not working currently in the space. How is the space used? Is there sufficient seating? How do people move in, out and through the space? Is the space accessible for the elderly or individuals with mobility issues? Does the space feel safe? What climatic issues should be noted (sunlight, wind, excessive heat, etc.)? All of these are types of questions that should be answered by a site analysis.
