When there would need to be termination of a group is going to be different compared to terminating family sessions, however according to Toseland & Rivas (2017) the overall emotions can get more intensified by the varies and where the setting is taking place even when the impact within the groups that are limited when it comes to either self-disclosure compared to ones who have created a more deep of a connection. Also, the ultimate common difference is that between working in the two groups as well as attending the family sessions as that is when the treatment plan and the members also interact more. Working with the direct family sessions is more of a design to have and make improvement of nature whole family taking a step forward in mending as whole. Treatment with family sessions even though determine the termination once the goals are completed, family termination can also be seen as complex due to the collaboration with each member that would be involved Toseland & Rivas (2017).

A group facilitator would evaluate the group's efforts to be able to terminate based off of the completion of the goal/goals that were initiated in the first session as well as being completed at the time frame given and seen the progress made within the scheduled sessions. When termination would happen according to Felton & Polowy (2019) complex issues that can cause additional emotional responses, especially when it comes to being resistant while preparing the members to be able to identify such barriers and other future crisis's by having those useful resources to utilize when in need such as resistance, while simultaneously preparing members to identify future hurdles and to utilize available resources for independent problem-solving. The family groups are different due to seeing them as family's which are known to have different types of progress as well as the overall evaluation process.

Describe the techniques you would use to terminate a treatment group and how these may be the same or different than the techniques you would use to terminate a family intervention.

Treatment for groups and with family's there are some common ones that can be both used as they are both considered to be important due to the facilitator would start a conversation in regard to termination of services as well as other required information regarding that topic. This would also be helpful for the members to be prepared for the change that would happen and even to clarify their overall progress and go over the completion that had been done. The group facilitator would also then focus on minimizing the dependency of the empowerment for the members as this would also assist them on trusting their capabilities when it comes to utilizing other support networks and resources that are given to them as well Toseland & Rivas (2017). When it comes to reducing the members dependence from treatment perspective, the facilitator would then lead a discussion within the group on all of the progress that has been completed.
