Problem related to absorbency of a fabric

Problem:

Completely rewrite the following paragraph: The absorbency of a fabric significantly influences the shape and appearance of bloodstains. Absorbent fabrics can cause blood to wick and spread, altering the original stain morphology (Silenieks, 2024; Li et al., 2017; Wang et al., 2021). This wicking can lead to elliptical or distorted stains, which complicates the interpretation of the bloodstain patterns (Li et al., 2017; Wang et al., 2021). Different fabrics exhibit unique bloodstain characteristics based on their absorbency. This variability necessitates a detailed understanding of the fabric properties to accurately interpret bloodstains (De Castro et al., 2015; De Castro et al., 2016). The complexity introduced by fabric absorbency makes it challenging to develop standardized methods for BPA on textiles. The interaction between blood and fabric, including the processes of wetting and wicking, needs to be thoroughly understood to improve the reliability of bloodstain analysis on absorbent surfaces (De Castro, 2017; Agrawal et al., 2017). Research has outlined many characteristics of a material that influence its absorbency, including the porosity, thread count, fabric construction, texture, and composition. These will all be discussed in the following sections, with the exception of the fabric and fibre compositions, which will be explored in more detail in the next chapter. Need Assignment Help?
