Problem regarding the juvenile detention center

Problem:

Respond in a short response to Ryan If I were a Correctional Administrator in charge of a juvenile detention center, I would focus on programs that help youth learn skills and change negative behaviors. One program I would implement is an education and job-training program that helps juveniles earn their GED and learn basic job skills, such as computer skills or trade skills. This would give them better opportunities once they are released and reduce the chances of them getting into trouble again. I would also create a counseling and life-skills program that focuses on anger management, decision-making, and understanding how their choices affect their future. "I'd offer extra recreation time, certificates, or privileges, and track improvements in behavior and lower recidivism to demonstrate the program's effectiveness. Research shows that programs focused on education and behavior change can help reduce delinquency among youth" (Lipsey, 2009). Lipsey, M. W. (2009).
