Problem:
What would you say in response responding to this peer's discussion post?
I am much more of a glass-half-full person and always have been. My go-to phrase that I tell myself and my friends is to focus on the power of positive thinking. I am a firm believer that if you keep a positive mindset then the outcome of things you'll be doing will be good. I think some of the reason as to why I am like this is how I was brought up by my parents. When growing up my dad had a go to phrase which was if you see someone without a smile give them one of yours. My mom would tell me that everyday almost when she would be dropping me off at school, it was a nice reminder to always be kind to others because you may never know what is going on in someone's life.
If there was anything I'd like to change it would be that being as overly positive as I am does come with its cons. Being a glass half full type of person sometimes means you might try and see the good in every situation or every person. Which sounds great but, in some instances, it could cloud your judgment when it comes to identifying when a person is not being nice to you or when a situation you're in could be affecting you negatively as well. I am always trying to see the best in people but sometimes that can be my downfall, and I end up in not the healthiest of relationships or friendships. Need Assignment Help?
