Problem:
Respond in 50-75 words. For my project, I plan to use qualitative data collected through semi-structured interviews with professionals who support student veterans in higher education. This will include social workers, education benefit specialists, Veterans Resource Center staff, professors, and the Veterans Education Benefit Center Director. The goal is to capture their personal insights, experiences, and observations about how social work interventions help or sometimes fail to help veterans adjust to college life. This type of data fits my study because it focuses on understanding real experiences rather than measuring numbers or outcomes. By listening to participants describe what works, what does not, and what could be improved, I can better understand the gaps and strengths in current support systems. These conversations will also highlight collaboration between professionals and how those relationships impact veterans' success. Collecting insights from each data source on individuals will help answer my research questions and guide recommendations to improve social work interventions that make the transition to higher education smoother for student veterans.
