Problem:

My career of choice is a Juvenile Probation Officer.
Critical thinking skills I need to be in this career role are to have problem solving skills, observation skills, decision making skills, and case management skills to name a few. Being a Juvenile Probation officer, I will deal with many teens who have behavior issues and being rebel. I know that in this field you need compassion and to also be firm. I will be dealing with the guardians who also may have issues with parenting skills. I see a Juvenile Probation Officer to multi-task with home visits and sometimes school visits. I am quite familiar with how the system works because I was a juvenile delinquent growing up. The groups I attended were eye openers that someone always has it harder than you and you should be grateful for what you have. Need Assignment Help?
I took the Critical thinking test
I received a passing score.
I believe that my personal past experience among the juveniles I have met whether it be my very own, their friends or even at work give me a foot in the door.
A strength I have is Fairness. It may be because I have children, but I am all about being fair in everything I do. Being fair in the criminal justice world is most definitely needed.
Another strength I have is communication. I am not afraid to be the conversation starter and will the first to ask a question when needed. (Often times my teens say mom don't put your hand up in the meeting, please.)
A weakness that I have right now is that since I do not have a criminal justice job title, it will be hard for me to get in without experience.
Lastly, I would say I have a hard time saying no to filling in for call outs at work and I over work myself.
I do not like the feeling of letting my team down.
