After meeting with the Board you are concerned that the Board have little idea of what an intrapreneurial strategy is, let alone, the process of introducing the strategy in a sustainable way.
To confirm this you meet with your peers in the management team to discuss the concept of an entrepreneurial strategy.
The first question you ask is do they understand what an entrepreneurial strategy is, many of the managers put forward various ideas., including the concept of an organisation strategy how it is developed and introduced.
The answers are not necessarily related to the innovation and entrepreneurial responses. You also ask as to whether the company's strategy has been conveyed properly to them and their role in implementing the strategy, all of the managers say it has but it is not so clear. One manager in particular indicates that he is directed by the CEO and in many instances is relying on his Key Result areas as an indication of the direction he should follow in day to day operations.
You quickly see that the managers have very little idea of the concept of a entrepreneurial strategy. From your meeting with the managers you determine, that in order for the introduction of a successful entrepreneurial strategy a intensive training session must be undertaken in relation to what it means to adopt an entrepreneurial strategy for managers and leaders in an organization. With this objective in mind you decided to
1. Prepare an agenda of learning outcomes for training session specifically focussing on Corporate Entrepreneurial strategy.
2. Prepare brief note 4 paragraphs on Corporate entrepreneurial strategy to send to the participants reference to theory where required.
