Activities to be covered in your portfolio include:
Theoretical Underpinnings of bereavement:
Description of the emotional, physical, behavioural and psychological responses to such bereavement
cases.
Offer an understanding of different bereavement theory as applied to these cases. In particular, how do the bereavement models discussed in the module help to explain these cases and their reactions?
Explain the therapists’ role in helping bereaved people within these scenarios.
Identify the skills required by a counsellor to work with bereaved people.Provide a commentary on the methods you are proposing to use in sessions and what the expected outcome may be.
