Problem 1: Critically review the differences in NFPA and BS Standard in terms of design for sprinkler system. You could include the hazard categorization, design density, area of operation, minimum pressure requirements etc. in your report.

Scenario:
The attached floor plan consists of TWO areas / occupancies. You are required to prepare a Fire Protection report demonstrating the design of both clean agent system & Sprinkler systems for TWO areas mentioned above and a Fire Alarm & Detection system for the whole floor.
Important Notes:
Part 1: For measuring dimensions of the floor plan print the attached on A4 paper & choose the appropriate scale for your name given in the appendix.
Part 2: You must resent the full design calculation for sprinkler system & clean agent system. With all following included.
- Total No. of sprinklers, pressure loss calculation for all sprinklers on last range pipe including flow and pressure of each sprinkler head.
- Basic quantity of CO2 & Additional Quantity required to make-up for enclosable opening & size of vent required to extract CO2 after its use.
OR
- Determine the quantity of FM 200 fire extinguishing agent required for rooms, determine the nozzle Quantity and Estimate the agent flow rate for each area and nozzle flow rate
