Problem:
This study is part of the research project "Physical and Mental Health Project for College Students in Science and Engineering Majors in Civil Aviation Colleges", which explores the prevalence and interconnections of physical and mental health issues among science and engineering major freshman college students. Executed from September to December 2024.The project employed a stratified random sampling technique to select participants and gather the necessary data for this study. We selected four science and engineering colleges from a public university directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China, including the College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE), the College of Aeronautical Meteorology (CAM), the College of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (CUAV), and the College of Air Traffic Management (CATM). A total of 550 students were invited to take part in the study. After removing questionnaires with substantial missing data or incomplete responses, 502 valid questionnaires were retained, resulting in a response rate of 91.3 %, male 476 (94.8 %), female 26(5.2 %).
