Photo-realistic renderered visualisations and interactive

As you have now completed the existing floor plan and elevation drawings in AutoCAD, you are now required to model the space in 3D using SketchUp and to produce 3D photo- realistic renders in Artlantis - work methodology which is often used in the industry.

Artlantis will enable you to render in ‘real-time', allowing you to see your 3D model rendered with shadows and lights every time changes are applied. With this process , you will be able to easily identify the areas of improvement , enabling you to make the changes straight away.

Most of the time you will not achieve the perfect render first go. Therefore throughout the rendering process, you should be taking close inspection of the following to ensure you achieve a high quality render:

- textural appearance of materials and finishes

- depth and dimension achieved through artificial and natural lighting

To ensure that the appearance of materials and finishes and the overall lighting for the soon-to- be Barbershop are correct, you must produce rendered visualisation tests.

Using the Sketchup software, you are to build the 3D model from Assessment Task 1, and add 3D objects from Google Warehouse to provide a ‘mock' environment. You are then required to import the 3D model into Artlantis where you will apply materials, finishes and lighting to generate 4 x photo-realistic renderered visualisations.

For this project you will need to submit the following:
- 4 x photo-realistic renderered visualisations
- 1 x Interactive iVisit presentation showcasing the rendered visuals

To do:

1. Import PDF Floor Plan from Assessment 1 into Sketchup and commence modelling

2. Download and import 3D objects from the Google Warehouse to create a ‘mock environment'

3. Import 3D model from Sketchup to Artlantis.

4. Apply materials and textures

5. Apply artificial and natural lighting to your model

6. Select the appropriate views for rendering and save images as a .jpeg format

7. Submit your folder for feedback
