Philosophy and religion project

Assignment:

Philosophy and Religion Project

Make Your Own Philosophy Project

One of my personal goals in teaching Philosophy and Religion, is to introduce students to philosophies and ideas that they may use to benefit their own lives.

Instructions:

Go through the texts, readings, philosophies covered and take the concepts that most resonated with you. Use the text or any other SOURCE material; be sure to cite the source. Plagiarism will receive a 0%.
Compile a list of 8 maxims, analogies, concepts, themes, etc...

a. Break down the meaning behind them
b. Explain how to utilize the information of each of them in real life

Use the format below...

Example:

1. Bhagavad Gita: "your business is with action alone, not by any means with the fruit of action."

a. In other words, you are not guaranteed and goal or reward for any deed. One should perfect the doing of something -the mastering thereof.

b. This is a useful idea for success in life, often we are enamored with a goal we set we neglect understanding and mastering the process of doing. I often remember this statement when a goal seems overwhelming -I remember that the fruit of action is not owed to me by anyone, and I need to focus on the task, or duty at hand.

Note:

You must turn it in on time; this will be due the end of the semester. Do not plagiarize, cite all sources. This must be typed, specifications of your choice, no limit on pages, fonts-it's up to you. If you need any additional help/ instructions, please contact me.
