ADVOCACY PROGRAM
You will design a gifted advocacy presentation to present to a target group such as school or community organizations. The assignment is broken in to 2 parts. You will complete a 20 minute-PowerPoint or other web 2.0 informational presentation on gifted advocacy. The presentation will be used to promote and gather support for gifted and talented programs in a school or community. The presentation can be specific to your current needs or general to gifted and talented programs. All source material for the presentation must be cited in current APA format. Be creative and have fun with this assignment.
Advocacy Program Presentation
Part 1
The following items must be submitted for part 1 of the presentation:
1. Title page
2. Agenda for the meeting (1 page)
3. Handouts for the target group
4. A detailed follow-up plan for how you will continue communication and work with the target group (1-2 pages)
5. References page
Part 2
The following items must be submitted for part 2 of the presentation:
1. 20-minute PowerPoint or web2.0 presentation that clearly outlines the importance of gifted education and how the target group(s) of the presentation can help
2. Detailed speaker notes in the notes section of the presentation
3. All sources cited in current APA format in a slide on the presentation
