Osha general duty clause section 5a1 of the occupational

OSHA General Duty Clause: Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970, employers are required to provide their employees with a place of employment that "is free from recognizable hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious harm to employees."

In your opinion, should the OSHA General Duty Clause apply to ALL job activities. For example, employees entering blue collar positions in manufacturing are oftentimes well aware that their new job may entail repetitive activities. Since they are agreeing to accept a position as is, why should the employer have to change it in order to make it "easier" or "more comfortable?"
