Null experiment:
An experiment that yields no result after being executed. Null experiments are just as meaningful as non-null experiments; if current theory determined an observable effect (or predicts there have to be no observable effect), and experimentation (in the required accuracy) does not yield said effect, then null experiment has told us something regarding our theory.
