Notion of privity of contract and convenience of using agent

The law of undisclosed agency attempts to create a balance between the notion of privity of contract and the convenience of using agents in commercial settings. It focuses on the irrelevance of the identities of the contracting parties in commercial dealings. Said v butt is an example of a case where to much emphasis was placed on the identity of the contracting party. Critically analyse this statement with reference to the law governing those instances where a third party does not wish to contract with the undisclosed principal.
