No longer are you helplessly impacted by problems without

It is  good to know what you think about the class and critical thinking. I always like to leave the last week as a good week for reflection. Reflection is an important in critical thinking.  Lifelong learning is something that I am a big proponent of. Here I am in my fifties and still in school. I am a crazy woman!  Let us reflect on what Dr. Ridel (2015) says about an aspiring thinker.

"No longer do you believe you're someone you're not (a critical thinker) - at least not yet. No longer are you thwarted by barriers, either external or internal. No longer are you duped into believing that every piece of information (messages) you read or hear is reliable, or every person (messenger) who delivers it is credible. No longer are you helplessly impacted by problems without methods to effectively solve them. Again, you've successfully transitioned from being an unreflective thinker into becoming an aspiring thinker - and have earned my sincerest respect and congratulations." (p. 178)

Class,

Would you consider yourself a lifelong learner? What do you think about this section of Dr. Ridel's text? Is it true for you? Why or why not?
