At https://www.bis.org/cbanks.htm you'll find links to the home pages for the central banks of major industrialized countries. Visit the site for one central bank other than ones in the U.S. Find at least one difference between the foreign central bank and the U.S. Federal Reserve. Find at least one similarity. Make sure that you choose a central bank that has not be selected by a fellow student (nor can you choose the bank in my example).
Example:
My central bank choice: Bank of Albania
Difference: The Bank of Albaniacompiles, adopts and implements the foreign exchange regime and the exchange rate policy. Though the Fed does buy and sell foreign currency, the Fed does not have targets, or desired levels, for the exchange rate.
Similarity: Like the Fed the Bank of Albania has the exclusive right to issue and circulate the national currency and banknote.
